HELLO
I'm Claudette "Det" Agustin, an illustrator and designer. I create from a place of intuition, curiosity, and genuine exploration. Whether I'm traveling locally or internationally, I'm always looking. I photograph shapes, lines, and patterns that intrigue me in nature and everyday life. I study them. I sit with them. And then I let my hands move naturally in response to what I've seen.
I don't translate things literally. I look for the essence, the feeling, the story living inside those lines and shapes.
This creative practice has taught me something important: when I let curiosity lead and judgment step back, I discover who I am at my core. And in that space, I create art that feels true. Art I want to see around me. Art that expresses the joy and emotion I find in the world.
My work spans illustration, mixed media, pattern making, and textile design. Right now I'm developing collections inspired by my adventures and everyday explorations. Each one becomes a visual story rooted in real experience and genuine discovery.
Beyond my studio work, I teach art and create commissions. But the heart of everything is the same: creativity as a practice of presence. Making something with your hands and heart invites connection, wellness, and joy. I believe that deeply. And I want to share that through my work and help others find it too.
I'm actively seeking representation and collaboration opportunities in licensing, textile design, and creative partnerships. I'm interested in bringing these visual stories to life across textiles, fashion, home goods, and beyond.
